About the Home Row Review lesson
The home row is the position your fingers return to after every single reach, so this review matters more than any other. If A, S, D, F, J, K, L and semicolon are not automatic yet, everything built on top of them will feel harder than it should. This lesson covers A, S, D, F, J, K, L, and ;. There are no new keys — just 3 drills mixing what you already know, so you find out which reaches are still slow. Once you can finish all 3 drills above 95% accuracy, move on to E and I Keys.
How to get the most from Home Row Review
- Do not aim for a personal best here. Aim for a clean run with no corrections.
- Watch which of A, S, D, F, J, K, L, and ; you hesitate on — those are the lessons worth repeating before moving forward.
- Keep your fingers on the home row between reaches. Drift is what makes review drills feel harder than they are.
- If your accuracy drops below 90%, go back to the lesson that introduced the keys giving you trouble.

97% or better is a good bar. Below 90% and the next lesson will feel much harder than it needs to, because it builds on these keys.
